For as long as I can remember I have a passion for Flamingos, I believe it started when my parents would take me to Florida back in the 60’s & 70’s I would love shopping souvenirs with a Flamingos on it.

The passion has continued over the years but started to intensify in 2018 with another trip to Florida, but this time it was different it wasn’t just about the souvenirs this time I wanted to see actual live Flamingos after seeing them in person I knew I needed to do more.

Like most fellow Flamingo Fanatics, I thought I was alone in my passion for Flamingos, Boy was I wrong! After doing a little research I found and joined several Flamingo groups on Facebook were people just like me shared their passion about Flamingos.  Some groups having over 18,000 members talking about Flamingos.

In 2019 I took my two passions, Flamingos, and planning events to create the 1st Flamingo Fanatics Fling. In September 2021 in the middle of a pandemic with cities starting to reopen 70 Flamingo Fanatics from all over the United States came together in Las Vegas to meet others and share their passion of the love for Flamingos. Life long friendships were born at that event. Some told me this was a trip of a lifetime for them, it made a difference in their life. That is where term “Sprinkle A little Pink” was born.

This is when I knew this would be my platform to do something greater If I could get that passion for Flamingos to bring people together to see how they could make a change in the world by helping others and still have fun doing it.

In May of 2021 I filed for a non-profit status, currently I am still waiting for notification that we are a corporation, but I am still forging on to make a difference in the world. As any organization we are constantly evolving currently our mission is to help others charities be successful in their passion with helping to raise funding and awareness of their cause this could be adopting a Flamingo from a zoo to having a local Flock out to raise awareness to Ovarian Cancer.

Thank you for stopping by and learning more about the Flamingo Fanatics Society, we are far more than a bunch of Crazy Flamingo Ladies collecting Flamingo tchotchkes to fill a room.
