Welcome, you are probably wondering what in the world is the Flamingo Fanatics Fling??
It is quite simple, like me, I bet you are a member of one or two flamingo groups on Facebook. We are really really passionate about Flamingos, and we are Fanatics about the pink feather bird. Back in 2019 someone posted “Hey we should all get together at the Flamingo in Las Vegas to meet each other!” I am not one of those people that just sits around and wait for others to do something. With my travel & event planning background I just thought “no problem I can do that!” So, I began planning the very first ever Convention for Flamingo Lovers. The initial date set was October 2020, well we all know what happen then, so we had to postpone until September of 2021.
Hopefully as a country we can turn things around soon and we can all get back to gathering with our flock and enjoying life again. This convention is an opportunity for likeminded folks to come together, get silly laugh and just have some good old fashion fun while also sharing their passion of the Pink Flamingo. After the past year we all have experienced I think this is a great opportunity for us to kick back and relax. Plus is a great way to make lasting friendships.
Since I have announced my plan to hold the first Flamingo Convention, I have received nothing but positive feedback, of course, a few think that I have lost my marbles and that includes my closest friends, but I am out to prove to them that other like Flamingo Fanatics understand me. We now have a team of about 10 people on the planning committee working with me to help plan a Flamazing Flamingo Convention Experience.
That about sums it up, The Flamingo Fanatic Fling 2021 is just a group of people that are passionate but Flamingo and are coming together to celebrate. Are you going to be one of Them?

Q: HOW DO I REGISTER?
A: Registering for the convention is easy with our online registration process. Click this link to register and email Flamingoflo@flamingofanatics.com if you have any questions.
Q: WHAT ARE THE PARKING RATES AT THE HOTEL?
A: Self-Parking (not valet) Included in your room rate.
Q: DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE HOST HOTEL TO COME TO THE CONVENTION?
A: It is highly recommended that you stay at the host hotel for a more complete convention experience, but it is not required.
Q: WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY CONVENTION REGISTRATION?

IMPORTANT: The Flamingo Fanatics Society is not responsible for refunds of any fees or expenses outside of the convention registration fee. Refunds for hotel reservations need to be handled through the hotel and are subject to those hotel’s refund policies. All other refunds are subject refund policies of the companies involved, including but not limited to airfare, transportation, car rentals, etc.
Q: WHAT IF THE CONVENTION IS CANCELLED OR POSTPONED BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC?
A: Full refunds will be issued, or credit will be forwarded to a later date of the convention.
Q: CAN MY TRAVELING COMPANION ATTEND THE CONVENTION EVENTS?
A: Anyone over the age of 21 is welcome to register for the convention. We are offering a guest to attend the dinner only at an extra fee. They are welcome to attend any extra event. The Donny show, Adventure day, Poolside.
Q: How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
A: Due to the Covid-19 there is limited service. This may change as we get closer. We suggest Uber or Lyft. There are several car services available. You can make reservations ahead of time.
Q: How will we communicate with other attendees while at the convention.
A: We have a Facebook group set up Flamingo Fanatics Fling Attendees, where you can introduce yourself, request to join. https://bit.ly/39Bp9vO. We hope to be adding an APP for attendees, closer to the date that you can add to your smartphone.
Q: WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
A: Casual or Flamingo attire
Q: WHAT DOES MY CONVENTION FEE COVER?
A: Currently, due to Covid-19 we are having a hard time confirming locations and times.
Registration includes:
- Meet & Greet with lite appetizers.
- One dinner event, one breakfast event.
- Daily gift giveaways
- VIP Shopping Experience at Fashion Show Mall
- A Photo session with a Group Photo
- Canvas Logo Swap bag loaded with special Convention Swag and Sponsors gifts.
- Games & Prizes
- Visit to the Flamingo Habitat with a zookeeper presentation.
- Crafts
- A portion of the registration fee will be donated to the Flamingo Habitat.
We continue to work at gaining Convention sponsors to add to the package.

Q: WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ONCES WE ARRIVE?
A: We are still confirming up the agenda with days and times. But some of the plans we are working on include.
- A casual dinner gathering on Sunday night for those that arrive early.
- Registration on Monday with a Meet & Greet in the evening.
- Group breakfast
- Pool Party
- Vegas show with Donny Osmond.
- Fashion Show, Time to show off your crazy Flamingo Outfits.
- Pool Party
- Visit the Flamingo Habitat
- Trip to Hoover Dam
- And much more.
Q: WHAT IF I AM TRAVELING SOLO CAN I GET A ROOMATE?
A: We will have a complied list of solo female travel and will try to connect those requesting roommates
